Area: 705 m²

Cascada de Luz is conceived as a tropical residence that explores the vertical dimension of architecture in response to its lush surroundings in Bahía Ballena, Costa Rica. Designed by Studio Saxe, the project is organized as a sequence of cascading spaces that follow the natural slope of the terrain, allowing light to become a central element in the architectural experience. The composition emphasizes openness and connection with nature, where large openings and double-height spaces create a dynamic interplay between interior and exterior. The architecture is defined by its ability to filter light through the structure, generating a constantly changing atmosphere throughout the day. Through architectural photography, the intention was to capture this relationship between light, space, and nature, highlighting how the project unfolds vertically while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
