Project Details

Nosara, Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Casa Tres Patios is conceived as a tropical residence in Nosara, Costa Rica, where architecture is organized around a sequence of interior courtyards that define the spatial experience. The project explores the relationship between built space and nature, using patios as transitional elements that allow light, ventilation, and vegetation to become part of everyday living. Each courtyard creates a unique atmosphere, structuring the program through moments of openness and intimacy while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. The architecture emphasizes natural materials and a restrained palette that enhances the sensory experience of the space. Through architectural photography, the intention was to capture how these courtyards shape the flow of the house, highlighting the interplay between light, shadow, and vegetation, and how the architecture dissolves into its tropical context.
