Casa Mia & Casa Turi

2024

Project Details

Nosara, Guanacaste, Costa Rica
Category: Residential Architecture
Type: Tropical Architecture

Casa Mia & Casa Turi are conceived as two residential volumes that respond directly to the natural topography and dense vegetation of Nosara, Costa Rica. Designed by QBO3 Arquitectos, the project follows the organic curvature of the terrain, allowing the architecture to adapt through a series of terraces that integrate seamlessly with the landscape. The composition creates a fluid connection between both residences, linked by circulation paths that move naturally through the site. Green roofs, natural materials, and expansive openings reinforce the relationship between architecture and environment, allowing light, ventilation, and views to define the spatial experience. The design emphasizes a sense of immersion within the tropical setting, where interior and exterior boundaries dissolve, creating a continuous dialogue with the jungle and ocean views. Through architectural photography, the intention was to capture this integration, highlighting how the architecture interacts with vegetation, topography, and light to create a living experience embedded in nature.
